We build high-end decks across Seattle and the Eastside. You'll get one point of contact, regular progress updates, and zero surprise fees at the end.

You'll always know where your project stands. You tell us up front how often you want to hear from us: daily, every few days, or weekly, and that's exactly what you get from the first sketch to the final board. You'll never have to chase anyone for an answer about your project.
You'll approve a detailed, itemized price before anyone touches your deck, and that's what you'll pay. It only changes if you decide to change something. No mid-build surprises, no line items you never agreed to. We guarantee our price.
You hired a builder so you wouldn't have to babysit one. Building a custom deck should feel like you're being taken care of. Every project gets a dedicated project manager who keeps the build on schedule, handles the permits and inspections, and makes sure you always know exactly where things stand.
Every backyard is different, but most homeowners are looking for one of two ways to work with us. Pick the one that sounds most like you.
What it is: A beautifully built deck using designs and materials we've proven over years, delivered on a timeline and budget you can count on.
Who it's for: You want a beautiful deck without having to micromanage every detail. With the streamlined design you get:

What it is: A one-of-a-kind outdoor space designed around your vision, your home, and how your family lives. Your dream is our mission.
Who it's for: You've got a specific picture in your head, or you want something nobody else has. Our custom path gives you:

Ardent is run by two brothers, Roman and Dima, who've spent nearly a decade mastering hardwood craftsmanship before bringing it to the backyard. They learned early that the difference between good work and great work lives in the details most people never see, and they've built their name on never cutting corners. When you hire Ardent, you work with them directly. They're on the calls, they're on your job site, and their name is on every deck they build.
Read more about Roman, Dima, and how we work"We were going in blind, but their patience and guidance were exceptional, and the final results were beyond our expectations. Our only regret is not meeting them earlier. They are worth every penny and more."
"I've worked with them on several high-end custom residential projects, and their carpentry is truly exceptional. Dima and Roman bring real skill and precision to every job, and it shows in the final product. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for top-tier work."
"Completed at the highest level. Professional, clean, fast, and reasonably priced. Communication with the company was excellent. I highly recommend them."

Here is the process that we follow for every project:
We walk the space with you and talk through how you actually want to use it. You'll get clear answers on what's possible, what it'll realistically cost, and whether we're the right fit. If we're not, we'll tell you instead of ghosting.
We turn your ideas into a visual design with an itemized price covering materials, structure, and timeline. You'll know exactly what you're getting and what it'll cost before we start. The price we quote will only change if you decide to change something.
Every deck we build is permitted, engineered, and inspected, and you keep the stamped drawings. You'll never chase the city, schedule an inspector, or have to worry if your deck is properly built.
Your project manager runs the crew and the schedule and updates you as often as you asked. Your yard gets cleaned at the end of every day, your landscaping gets protected, and the framing you'll never see gets the same care as the boards you will.
We walk the finished deck together and everything on your list gets handled before we call it done. Then we're always a phone call away. After that, the structure is guaranteed for five full years. If something isn't right, give us a call and we'll make it right.
We do our best work for a certain kind of homeowner. Here's an look at who that is, and who it isn't.
What does a custom deck actually cost?
Why do quotes from different builders vary so much?
How long does a deck take to build?
Do you handle permits and inspections?
What areas do you serve?
Are you licensed and insured?
Whether you've got detailed plans or just a rough idea, we'd love to hear about it. Reach out and you'll talk directly to one of the owners, who'll answer your questions and let you know if we’re a good fit.
